Supersédure 2
[Eric La Casa + Seijiro Murayama]

Booklet 16 pages 150x150mm with audio CD 40 Minutes
limited edition of 150 copies

When and how does a gesture leave the domain of the ordinary for that of the extraordinary, and is perceived as such by all ? Where, within each space, is the threshold of the extraordinary, and therefore of the musical ?

Installations
[Eric La Casa +Jean-Luc Guionnet, Arnau Horta, Seijiro Murayama, and Michaele-Andrea Schatt]

Booklet 24 pages 150x150mm with audio CD 72 Minutes

a limited edition of 250 copies

Just as the map stimulates the knowledge of a country, the in-situ work renews our relationship to space and place.
Stereophonic versions based on the recordings and mixes used for the 4 selected sound installations, made in situ between 2005 and 2016.

Intérieurs
[Eric La Casa]

Booklet 8 pages 150x150mm with audio CD 45 Minutes
a limited edition of 200 copies

What characterises my inner sound environment?
What relationships do I have with reality, inside?
To answer these questions, I have chosen three striking interiors from the last ten years.
Firstly, in my apartment, following Paris. I highlighted liminal phenomena, making them events in their own right, bringing them out of the inaudible.
Then, in an artist's studio, behind closed doors, I followed her painting process to attempt to grasp the persistence and resonance of her creative gesture.
Finally, in a museum, I amplified the background air-conditioning of the empty spaces to render audible the specific qualities of this monumental architecture, dedicated to the containment of its collection.

FRICHE : transition
[Eric La Casa + Eamon Sprod] CD 39:15

a limited edition of 300 copies

During Spring 2015, Eamon Sprod and Eric La Casa spent one week to record on waste grounds, at the north east of Paris, and along the canal Ourcq. Spaces which are somehow both inside yet apart from the city; waiting spaces from which to listen to the threshold of the city.<

Métro Pré Saint-Gervais
[Jean-Luc Guionnet + Dan Warburton + Eric La Casa] CD 63:50

Reissue - a limited edition of 300 copies

On July 10th 2001, Guionnet (alto sax), Warburton (violin) and La Casa (microphones) explored the acoustics of the Pré Saint Gervais Metro station in Paris, riding the elevators, taking the stairs, experimenting real-time music in daily life. A reference, between site-specific improvisation and sound art.

CHANTIER 4
[Pascal Battus + Bertrand Gauguet + Eric La Casa] CD 64:45

a limited edition of 300 copies

Since 2010, the building site has been a space where we question our practice, like workers. Improvising with the sound environment, the myriad sounds of machines, the gestures and speeches of the workers, our research unfolds over multiple sound territories, ranging from acoustics to anthropology.

AIR.ratio
[Eric La Casa] CD 63:00

Reissue - a limited edition of 200 copies

My listening project (about controlled mechanical ventilation in new buildings) is multiple : it can function as a sound study, a sonic data bank, a CD of environments, and finally as a music. This CD is intended to be an object without distinctive function. This is precisely what interests me : the question of listening, at home.

Paris Quotidien
[Eric La Casa] CD 74:00 with or without

booklet bilingual (FR-English) 60 pages

Reissue - a limited edition of 150 copies with a 60 pages 15x15 cm booklet
+ limited edition of 50 copies (only CD + cardboard cover)

What is the significance of living here at this address, in this building, said to relate to my existence, to my life, in this time of listening?
My goal is to work the elements of perceived reality in order to reveal their potential in sound and music in my daily space. The editing mixes documentary research with an aesthetic approach that is driven by an idea of the musical. In order to preserve the original listening, the dynamic of the recordings, or for that matter the real acoustics of the spaces, no effects were used.
